We have set up Memory Matters Foundation, a charity which is a separate entity and a separate Board of Trustees to raise awareness and funds and to help us to continue our work with local people affected by dementia. 1 in 3 of us will be affected by dementia, so keep it local and help us to continue providing the support and services in your area.
There are many ways that you can help us to continue supporting our community:
Ways to Donate
You can donate now via Secure Bank Transfer, credit/debit card or PayPal through Charity Just Giving
By Cheque – Please make cheques payable to Memory Matters Foundation and post to the address at the bottom of this page.

Fundraising Event
We would love to assist you plan and hold an amazing fundraising event. We can help with a Fundraising Pack, advertising on our social media platforms and newsletter and giving talks and information to help you get our story out to your supporters.
You can also set up your very own fundraising Just Giving page linked to Memory Matters Foundation.
Shopping (Amazon/Coop)
Amazon: If you shop at Amazon please consider using Amazon Smile. With all your purchases Amazon will donate 0.5% of your spend to Memory Matters. If you bookmark the smile.amazon page and select Memory Matters Foundation it works just like your usual Amazon account with the same shopping experience. It’s a win win! Feel good and do good whilst shopping.
Coop: If you are a Coop member then you can choose Memory Matters as the charity of your choice to receive your membership points as a donation. You can spend in any Coop in the country and even if you only pop in for those essentials from time to time points really do add up. We are a Coop local cause Charity until December 2021. easyfundraising: If you’d like to support us at no extra cost just by shopping, support our cause on easyfundraising. You can then shop at over 5000 online retailers who will make donations to Memory Matters Foundation on your behalf. We recommend enabling the optional donation reminders which will notify you if the online store you are browsing is an easyfundraising participant.
Pay As You Earn
We really need regular donations and you could help by choosing us to receive a regular donation straight from your pay.
If you speak to your HR department and sign up to payroll giving a donation will be deducted from your salary or pension before tax this means it costs you less to support us.
£5.00 donation monthly will only cost you £4.00
£10.00 donation monthly will only cost you £8.00
£15.00 donation monthly will only cost you £12.00
In Memory
We know that losing a loved one is very difficult but you can celebrate someone’s life by donating to allow us to provide vital services to local people.
You can make your own Just Giving page which will allow people to donate in the memory of your loved one. Funeral donations can be collected with cheques being made to Memory Matters Foundation and cash donations can be brought in to Moments Café in Plymouth City Centre.

Are you a local business?
We are a working café with a Community Hub upstairs. If you have equipment or services that would like to donate we welcome your support.
Buy it forward
As a customer of our Moments Cafe you can choose to buy a meal or a hot drink for someone who is less fortunate. We distribute your donation to organisations who work with the homeless and those on low income including; Hope for the Homeless, Street Pastors and The Foodbank.
