Face to Face Support
Memory Matters is based in Plymouth, Devon above Moments Cafe, our quirky city centre good food cafe. Here you will find our dementia Support Hub, where anyone can come without an appointment to talk about dementia with Anne, our Hub Co-ordinator as well as our Volunteers.
Our welcoming Hub area is where you can find information, advice and support. It’s a place where we can sit and spend time with you, talk through your situation and its challenges and work together to find ways to make your life feel positive again. There is nothing ‘formula’ about what we offer – you are uniquely individual and we respond to that.
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, we have had to temporarily shut our Hub. However, we are still available to offer support.
With support from a National Lottery grant, we are currently partnering with organisations across Devon to to deliver fun, structured Virtual Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (vCST) workshops, a talking therapy recommended by the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) for all people living with mild to moderate dementia.
Memory Matters aim, with the help of other third sector organisations to reach as many people as possible who may be at risk of isolation during these unprecedented times.
